Store managerAsuka Isobe
After graduating from university, I worked at the Kiyamachi store for two years.
Three years at Gion Yamana-an. Since February 2018, working at Yasaka-tei.
Promoted to store manager
What I'm working on as a store manager and my vision for the store
I want to create a store where all staff members can work with a sense of professionalism.
We are committed to creating a workplace environment that is not only fun, but also where each staff member can work with a clear goal in mind.

Things that helped me grow
(Company support that helps boost motivation)
One advantage is having a close relationship with your boss.
The best thing about them is that you can immediately consult them about any problems or concerns, and they'll work with you to find solutions.
Also, because they always care about my growth, it's easier to maintain my motivation.
Even after becoming a store manager, the area manager still comes to the store to give objective feedback, which is very helpful.
They give me detailed advice on numbers, store operations, and training part-time staff, which allows me to take on new challenges as a store manager.
And as for improving my skills, I was taking English conversation lessons once a week.
Nowadays, we have many international tourists, and although I couldn't speak any English when I first joined the company, I can now have conversations related to customer service, even if they're still a bit rudimentary.

Notes & mentions Q&A
- If you had to describe Hiro in one word, what would it be?
- A company where you can get opportunities depending on how hard you work.
- What are some memorable failures you've experienced in your work so far, and how did you deal with them?
- I had trouble communicating with the part-time staff, which led to conflicts.
There were times when the staff on the same floor wouldn't even speak to me...
Nowadays, I make a point of listening to what the part-time staff have to say.
Also, I try to increase the number of times I communicate with part-time staff, even if it's just about trivial things.
By doing so, we can also understand the child's psychological state.
I was so preoccupied with my own problems that I didn't have the capacity to pay attention to those around me.
The store manager at the time told me, "You'll often have worries about the part-time staff, but they're also the ones who will help you out," and that greatly changed my perspective, and I continue to work in that way to this day.
- What does fulfillment mean to you?
- Since I became the store manager this year, now is the time when the store can achieve results.
It was also a time when I could truly see the growth of my staff.
- What I have grown through my work
- I still have a long way to go, but I think I've improved my ability to communicate with people compared to before.
I think I've become better at trying to understand things from the other person's perspective and thinking about things from their point of view.
However, I still have a long way to go and am still growing!
- If you had to describe your personality in one word,
- I hate losing!
- how to spend the holidays
- I'm looking to visit highly-rated restaurants to see if there's anything I can learn from their service, menu, etc.
Besides restaurants, I try to visit other establishments that have a reputation for excellent customer service.
- My dreams and goals for the future are
- My goal is to become a wonderful person that women who join Hiroshi look up to.
- What kind of person is this workplace suitable for?
- I think this is perfect for people who want to take on challenges and have high aspirations to improve themselves!
We look forward to receiving your entry.
We'll be waiting for your visit sincerely.
